Secure Software Expert Wanted

We are seeking a seasoned Security Specialist to lead our software development efforts, embedding security best practices into every stage of the cycle.

  • Oversee the implementation of secure design and coding principles for microservices (Java/Spring Boot), Node/TypeScript backends, Angular UIs, and Android/Flutter apps.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD security controls, including SAST, SCA/SBOM, secrets & IaC checks, container/image scanning, automate DAST/IAST in pipelines, and enforce block-on-fail where necessary.
  • Manage vulnerability assessments: scope with internal/third-party testers, triage findings, set SLAs, track remediation to closure, verify fixes and prevent regressions.
  • Review designs/code for authentication, authorization, crypto, session management, API security, data protection/PII, and high-risk modules (payments, onboarding, documents).
  • Drive cloud & platform security: implement baselines for EC2/ALB, RDS/KMS, S3 policies, network segmentation, mTLS/JWT service auth, Vault-backed secrets, and key rotation.
  • Ensure observability and governance: wire security logs to SIEM, define AppSec KPIs (MTTR, SLA adherence, gate coverage), and report risk posture to engineering leadership.
  • Collaborate with teams to improve security skills through workshops and training programs.

About You:

  • 5+ years of experience in software security and/or relevant technical field.
  • Proven track record of improving security posture and driving secure development practices.
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
