Job Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Frontend Developer to join our technical team.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in shaping the company's technology proposition and be responsible for technical seniority, supporting technology consulting projects, identifying and advising on appropriate solutions for clients.

You will have a track record of designing and delivering high-quality digital solutions over the last 7+ years and have a keen interest in the application of technology in the sports industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Write clean, reusable code following best practices while helping to define coding standards and team conventions.
  • Be an advocate for developer experience and have a keen interest in continually improving it.
  • Encourage a blameless culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
  • Lead and influence the technical design, architecture, and development of digital projects.
  • Work closely with Engineering Managers, Engineering Leads, and Product Managers to understand problems and define technical scope for global sports properties.
  • Set up software development frameworks for release management, automation, code quality, and source control.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to other engineers.
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and trends in sports technology.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • A high level of proficiency and understanding in TypeScript, React, and Next.js with experience in Node.js desirable.
  • Experience in a CI/CD environment where you have utilized tools such as Circle CI, GitHub actions, or Azure DevOps etc.
  • An appreciation of DevOps and platform engineering culture. You don't just write code, but you also like to build and ship it, utilizing cloud platforms and services.
  • Experience in agile development practices, continuous integration, and test automation via various methods.
  • Observe the performance and health of applications via tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Data Dog, Sentry, etc.
  • Have a strong desire and be an advocate for performant applications.
  • Proactive in solving problems simply and effectively, with an eye for pragmatic solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate with a variety of audiences to explain your solutions and collaborate effectively with others.
