PostgreSQL Database Expert

We are seeking an experienced PostgreSQL developer to join our team.

About the Role:

  • Design, implement and maintain complex data systems using Cloud Native principles and best practices.
  • Plan and deploy database infrastructure with upgrades and migrations as needed.
  • Expertise in Aurora PostgreSQL performance and scalability, query tuning, monitoring and incident response.
  • Contribute to AWS service deployments with deep understanding of AWS services.
  • Manage complex data replication environments serving batch and real-time use cases.
  • Engage in on-call duties for production systems and respond to incoming alerts.
  • Contribute to major system upgrades, deployment automation and monitoring enhancements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related field.
  • 8+ years of hands-on development experience with Postgres (AWS Aurora Postgres).
  • Experience with AWS Data Migration Service.
  • Extensive performance monitoring, troubleshooting and tuning experience.
  • Hands-on knowledge of hosting on cloud.
  • Programming language proficiency for DevOps automation: Java, Python, Shell.
  • Docker, Kubernetes, Splunk and Wavefront skills a plus.
