Job Title: Big Data Developer

The role of the Associate Software Engineer is to design and deliver elements of engineering solutions to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create software applications using Hadoop and Java technologies.
  • Collaborate with Team Leads or Software Development Managers and other key stakeholders to ensure high-quality, maintainable, scalable and performing software applications are delivered to users.
  • Analyze software defects and resolve them in a timely manner.
Your Skills and Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience with Hadoop & Java related technologies.
  • Understanding of the Hadoop ecosystem and HDFS file System.
  • Experience with MapReduce framework, Hive, Pig, Impala, Spark SQL etc.
  • Expertise in Apache Spark and Scala (preferably greater than version 2.0).
  • Familiarity with GCP including Composer, Data Proc, Big Query.
