Editor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of the Lifestyle segment and excellent written English skills.

  • The Editor will be responsible for writing quality articles pertaining to Lifestyle, Leisure, Travel, etc.
  • The Editor must check facts and style consistency.
  • The Editor will edit stories from the wires being prompt and accurate.
  • Site Management involving attention to details is required.
  • The Editor will take responsibility for the successful publish of the story.
  • The Editor will check the choice of images and stories. The choice should be in sync to draw the target audience.
  • The Editor will initiate enhancements to content collaterals.
  • The Editor will guide copy editors on how to prioritize stories and meet deadlines to publish stories.
  • The Editor will guide copy editors to develop prompt responses with respect to live events.
  • The Editor must be able to meet deadlines.
  • The Editor will mentor, train, and supervise the performance of copy editors.
  • The Editor will work as part of a team and develop others.
  • The Editor will be able to handle shifts independently.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

  • 4-7 years of experience in the Lifestyle segment or thorough knowledge of the subject.
  • Excellent written English skills.
  • Very well-versed in proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Meticulous approach to work and an eye for detail.
  • Good research abilities.
  • Ability to maintain high-quality work while meeting tight deadlines.
  • A love of and feel for language.
