Job Title

A high-performance Information Systems Engineer is needed to design, develop, and implement robust systems and processes that improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of Learning & Development applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with product teams, business units, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software on time and within budget.
  • Design, develop, and implement scalable systems and processes to improve the efficiency and reliability of L&D applications.
  • Automate routine operational tasks, such as deployments, monitoring, and incident response, to minimize human error and optimize system performance.
  • Develop and maintain monitoring tools and dashboards to track system health, performance, and availability.
  • Respond promptly to and resolve incidents, conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance and support for existing systems, ensuring they are secure, efficient, and reliable.
  • Develop and implement unit tests, integration tests, and other testing strategies to ensure software quality.
  • Identify and resolve software bugs and performance issues.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of software designs, code, and development processes.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of information systems and network technologies in the Human Resources Learning & Development domain. Proficiency in relational and non-relational databases, SQL queries, performance tuning, and data pipeline design is essential.

  • Strong knowledge of cloud technologies, including AWS.
  • Experience with Databricks or Mulesoft, and familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitLab and Azure DevOps.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as C#, Python, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies, as well as software quality management and change management processes.
Preferred Qualifications

The following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Professional certifications, such as SAFe DevOps Practitioner, SAFe for Teams, ITIL, or Microsoft Certified Developer.
  • Experience with scripting and test automation tools.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security measures and validated GxP systems per FDA 21 CFR Part 11.
Soft Skills

The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with global, virtual teams.

They will also have a high degree of initiative and self-motivation, be able to manage multiple priorities successfully, and demonstrate a team-oriented approach with a focus on achieving team goals.
