Cloud and Platform Engineering Leadership

The ideal candidate for this key leadership role in our Technology teams will be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable, secure, and efficient cloud environments using AWS cloud operations, automation, cloud architecture, DevOps, and security practices. This includes overseeing the design, implementation, and management of scalable and secure AWS cloud infrastructures.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading and Managing a Team of DevOps Engineers: Providing mentorship, guidance, and performance feedback to ensure high-performing team members who drive business success.
  • Cloud Operations & Architecture: Directing the development, automation, and management of CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or similar tools to build, deploy, and manage scalable and secure infrastructure as code.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Guiding the team in building and maintaining automated infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, and GitLab CI/CD.
  • Platform Engineering: Directing the development, automation, and management of CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or similar tools.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensuring cloud infrastructure adheres to security best practices and compliance standards through regular audits and reviews.

Requirements:
  • Leadership and Management: Proven experience in leading and managing technical teams with a focus on collaboration, innovation, and results-driven outcomes.
  • DevOps and CI/CD: Strong proficiency in GitLab/Jenkins and CI/CD pipeline development with a focus on automation, continuous delivery, and integration.
  • Security and Compliance: Knowledge of AWS security services and practices, including IAM, KMS, security groups, and NACLs, to ensure secure and compliant cloud infrastructure.
  • AWS Expertise: Deep understanding of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, IAM, etc.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Extensive experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Educational Qualification: An engineering degree or masters in information, computer, electrical engineering, or related field.
  • Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional or Associate), AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Security - Specialty.
