This role is responsible for leading the design process for building structures, working closely with GCC and WSP teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare feasibility study reports to meet brief requirements in agreed format and review with GCC leadership.
- Work with WSP team to assemble a design specification compliant with employer's requirements, agree on its format and content, and monitor and review its preparation ensuring timely delivery.
- Agree and monitor scope of works with GCC leadership.
- Clearly define building requirements and purpose of use with GCC and WSP teams to allow detailed design.
- Carry out detailed design as per client requirements following standard codes, QA and technical review and sign-off by GCC leadership, including complex calculations and coordination issues.
- Proven experience in design of Building Structures with significant experience in similar role or demonstration of good track record.
- Good presentation skills required.
- Fully conversant with technical structural software, such as RAM, ETABS, SAFE and STAAD.
- Sound understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project essential.
- Fluent in English with excellent understanding of technical terminology. Knowledge of French language an added advantage.
- Good management, communication and technical skills, capable of working within team and independently as dictated by workload.
