The Role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Solutions Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Solutions Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing RFPs, client commercial and technical requirements for proposal production/documentation/submission. You will design Electrical Heat Tracing Circuits, Circuit Schedules, Single Line diagrams, and General Arrangement diagrams.

You will ensure the preparation of design sheets, Bill of Materials, Piping MTO from Client's GA/Isometric drawings, estimating lengths of power/control cables, cable sizing calculations, preparation of cable schedule as per project Detail, estimating quantity of cable tray, and more.

What You Will Experience

  • Review and analyze client commercial and technical requirements for proposal production/documentation/submission.
  • Design Electrical Heat Tracing Circuits, Circuit Schedules, Single Line diagrams, and General Arrangement diagrams.
  • Prepare design sheets, Bill of Materials, Piping MTO from Client's GA/Isometric drawings.
  • Estimate lengths of power/control cables, cable sizing calculations, and prepare cable schedule as per project Detail.
  • Estimate quantity of cable tray and other electrical materials.
  • Prepare bid preparation schedule for submission of bids and identify people responsible for various activities within predetermined timelines.
  • Compile and issue clarifications and requests to the client and share client feedback in terms of scope, additional information, etc. with the team.
  • Prepare and compile Risk Register wherein various risk elements of the project are listed and update the risk mitigation strategy for each risk element in consultation with Proposals Manager.
  • Evaluate and ensure generation of all deliverables by Engineering Disciplines as per Bid requirement (BOQs, Technical Documents to be attached to Bid, Costing for various equipment and materials, etc.).
  • Ensure handling of Clients clarification requests and attendance at bid clarification meetings.
  • Ensure Management of the enquiry from receipt through to contract award, including interfacing with other engineering and procurement departments to ensure timely scheduling.
  • Forward details to procurement for preparation and issue of sub-vendor enquiries.
  • Shortlist and identify target vendors for various key equipment/packages.
  • Follow-up with the procurement department for vendor offers and obtain vendor responses for the technical clarifications raised. Review of sub-vendor information and preparation of cost estimates.
  • Perform any other related duties and responsibilities as required by the reporting manager.
  • Assist in the improvement of working practices of the department.
  • Ensure receive functional guidance, direction, and advice from Proposals/Estimation Manager.
  • Provide planning and reporting assistance to Proposals/Estimation Manager.
  • Develop standard documents.
  • Ensure other duties are performed as directed by Proposals/Estimation Manager from time to time.
