Senior Functional Tester

We are seeking an experienced Senior Functional Tester to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing functional and regression test cases for web and API applications.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and developing automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver, PyTest, TestNG, or JUnit;
  • Executing thorough API testing using tools like Postman and REST Assured;
  • Collaborating with cross-functional Agile teams to understand requirements and provide testing inputs;
  • Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and faster feedback;
  • Executing SQL queries for backend data validation and ensuring data integrity;
  • Participating in defect triage meetings and working closely with developers to resolve issues;
  • Maintaining test documentation including test cases, test plans, and test results;
  • Supporting BDD framework implementation and collaborating using tools like Jenkins and JIRA;
  • Performing cloud testing and understanding test environments hosted on cloud platforms.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 8+ years of experience in functional and automation testing;
  • Strong hands-on experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, PyTest, TestNG, or JUnit;
  • Expertise in API testing using Postman and REST Assured;
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD processes and Agile methodologies;
  • Proficient in SQL for data validation;
  • Experience working in Agile Scrum teams with tools like JIRA and Jenkins.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) frameworks like Cucumber;
  • Exposure to cloud testing environments and tools.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
