Job Title: Data Governance Strategist

 

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Strategist with strong expertise in defining and leading enterprise-wide data governance strategies, design, architecture frameworks, and experience in tools implementation like Informatica EDC/AXON, Collibra, Alation, MHUB and other leading Data Governance tool platforms.

The ideal candidate will lead data quality, consistency, and accessibility across various Enterprise platforms and business units.

About the Role:

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-wide data governance architecture frameworks and metadata models to ensure seamless data management
  • Establish data governance strategies, policies, standards, and procedures for compliance processes and meet regulatory requirements
  • Conduct maturity assessments and change management efforts to drive organizational transformation
  • Evaluate and recommend Data governance framework and tools to meet enterprise business needs and stay ahead of industry trends
  • Design and implement architectural patterns for data catalog, data quality, metadata management, data lineage, data security, and master data management (MDM) across various data platforms (e.g., data lakes, data warehouses, operational databases)
  • Create and manage data dictionaries, metadata repositories, and data catalogs to facilitate data discovery and reuse
  • Architect technical and business metadata workflows and govern glossary approvals and workflows to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Validate end-to-end lineage across multiple sources and targets to ensure data integrity and trustworthiness
  • Design and enforce rules for classification, access, retention, and sharing data techniques to protect sensitive information and comply with regulations
  • Analyze and define the enterprise business KPIs and validate data governance requirements to inform strategic decision-making
  • Collaborate with Data Stewards to define technical specifications for data quality rules, validation checks, and KPIs reporting to ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications to drive project success
  • Ensure data compliance with relevant regulations like GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, SOX, and others to minimize risk and maximize value
