Job Title: Oracle Technical Consultant

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Gather and document business requirements through effective communication with cross-functional teams.
  2. Collaborate with teams to gather requirements and deliver high-performance applications.
  3. Design and develop Oracle VBCS applications and OIC integrations based on business needs.
  4. Develop OTBI, Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher (BIP), Smart View for Excel, and Financial Reporting Center (RFC).
  5. Write efficient code to create high-performance applications and troubleshoot them for optimal performance.
  6. Maintain and update existing Oracle VBCS applications and OIC integrations as needed.
  7. Ensure all development work adheres to best practices and complies with company standards.
  8. Participate in code reviews and contribute to improvement initiatives.
  9. Optimize code by following performance-tuning techniques considering the limitations of the current environment.
  10. Provide production support and solve requests for data updates, ad-hoc reports, or minor enhancements.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience in software development and a bachelor's degree.
  • Experience with Oracle VBCS/OIC Developer or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle development tools and technologies.
  • Exposure/experience with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and REST/SOAP APIs, OTBI, Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher (BIP), Smart View for Excel, and Financial Reporting Center (RFC).
  • Proficient in programming using PL/SQL and SQL Concepts.
  • Good knowledge of Oracle ERP or Fusion Cloud, Finance modules preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Training/certification highly preferred.
  • Good understanding of key concepts such as Collections, Exception Handling, and Cursors.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Autonomous Database.
