Job Description

As a security specialist, you will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of physical security systems.

The role involves working on multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.

  1. Identifying electronic security services required by customers and defining system design specifications.
  2. Developing detailed designs, reports, specifications, budgets, and equipment schedules in line with RIBA Stages.
  3. Confirming surveillance camera coverage requirements, identifying field of view and lens focal length.
  4. Creating layout drawings showing cable routing and equipment locations.
  5. Assisting in the development and drafting of technical specifications and drawings for all physical security projects.
  6. Ensuring total awareness of project deliverables and maintaining up-to-date technical skills through continuous training and exposure to vendor developments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing physical security systems to meet customer requirements.
  • Conducting site surveys and assessments to identify security risks and opportunities.
  • Developing and presenting proposals to clients, outlining the benefits and costs of security solutions.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure effective project execution.
  • Providing training and support to clients on the use and maintenance of security systems.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Strong technical knowledge of physical security systems and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proven experience in a similar role or industry.
  • Proficiency in software packages such as AutoCAD and 3D Revit.

Additionally, a strong understanding of UK and European standards and regulations is essential.
