Job Title: Data Management Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced data management specialist to join our IT team. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and implementing technology solutions that support business growth and success.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage production database servers, ensuring security, deployment, maintenance, and performance monitoring.
  • Set up SQL Server replication, mirroring, and high availability across hybrid environments.
  • Design and implement new installations on Azure, AWS, and cloud hosting with no specific DB services.
  • Deploy and maintain on-premise installations of SQL Server on Linux/MySQL installation.
  • Ensure database security and protection against SQL injection, exploiting of intellectual property, etc.
  • Collaborate with development teams to design and optimize data storage and query processes.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of critical applications.
  • Demonstrate expertise and contribute valuable insights throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Help design and implement scalable, lasting technology solutions.
  • Review current systems and suggest updates as required.
  • Gather requirements from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Document procedures for setting up and maintaining highly available SQL Server databases on Azure cloud, on premise, and Hybrid environments.
  • Test and debug new applications and updates.
  • Resolve reported issues and respond to queries in a timely manner.
  • Stay up-to-date on all current best practices, trends, and industry developments.
