Financial Systems Tester

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of trading platforms and financial applications through comprehensive testing strategies and automation frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

Software Development Lifecycle

• The successful candidate will participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to implementation and maintenance.

Automated Testing Frameworks

• They will design and develop automated testing frameworks and tools using C++, Python, and JavaScript for critical trading systems.

Test Implementation Plans

• The candidate will translate complex business requirements into detailed technical specifications and comprehensive test implementation plans.

Comprehensive Test Suites

• They will create and maintain comprehensive test suites for critical trading components, ensuring coverage of functional, performance, and edge-case scenarios.

Continuous Integration/Deployment Pipelines

• The candidate will implement and maintain continuous integration/deployment pipelines with integrated testing automation.

System Performance Monitoring

• They will build monitoring solutions for system performance, reliability, and quality metrics in production environments.

Technical Documentation

• The candidate will write production-quality code for new testing features, tools, and quality improvements.

Collaboration with Development Teams

• They will collaborate with development teams to optimize critical execution paths and identify performance bottlenecks.

Regression Testing and Validation

• The candidate will conduct thorough regression testing and validate system behavior across multiple trading venues and market conditions.

Quality Assurance Best Practices

• They will establish and promote quality assurance best practices, testing standards, and methodologies across the organization.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Key qualifications include:

• Proven QA engineering experience with a strong background in testing complex, high-performance financial or trading systems.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages including C++, Python, and JavaScript for developing testing frameworks and automation tools.
• Strong experience with automated testing frameworks and tools.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, including unit testing, integration testing, performance testing, and load testing.
• Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools.
• Knowledge of performance testing and benchmarking tools for low-latency systems.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Ability to design and implement comprehensive test strategies for complex distributed systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in identifying edge cases and potential system failures.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and document technical findings.
