Job Description

The Learning Support Specialist plays a vital role in shaping the student experience by guiding learners through their educational journey.

Candidates must possess industry expertise, demonstrated knowledge of the course subject area, and strong interpersonal skills.

This full-time position requires excellent time management skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where prioritizing learner support is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to student inquiries via the learning management system within 24 hours or less, demonstrating empathy and understanding for the learner's journey
  • Utilize industry knowledge to effectively guide learners through complex assignments and questions
  • Provide prompt feedback that includes pointed questions to help learners build problem-solving skills
  • Suggest course improvements to enhance content clarity, accuracy, and effectiveness
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless course delivery and resolve unexpected challenges

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 5+ years of extensive work experience in data engineering, data science, or data analytics
  • Professional and/or academic experience in machine learning and artificial intelligence
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, and GitHub
  • Experience using data visualization tools like Tableau
  • Experience using Microsoft Azure
  • Advanced academic background in mathematics, particularly statistics, calculus, and linear algebra
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience using Canvas or other related learning management systems
