A Platform Development Specialist is responsible for designing, building and maintaining the core components of our internal developer platform.

This includes APIs, tools and infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have experience with cloud computing concepts and technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Additionally, they should be familiar with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

The successful candidate will work closely with development teams to understand their needs and pain points, providing training and support on how to use the platform effectively.

Gathering feedback from developers and iterating on the platform based on their needs is also crucial.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and build self-service capabilities that enable developers to provision infrastructure, deploy applications and manage their environments independently.
  • Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation or similar.
  • Develop and maintain golden paths for common development tasks, ensuring consistency and best practices.
  • Contribute to the overall architecture and design of our cloud infrastructure.
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools into the platform.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, infrastructure engineering or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Java).
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
