Financial Research Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Financial Research Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough financial analysis and research to inform investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models incorporating scenario analysis to identify key drivers and KPIs across various sectors.
  • Conduct thorough valuations using DCF, relative, SOTP, and other relevant methods, ensuring accurate assumptions and rationales.
  • Screen large datasets to identify potential investment opportunities and provide support to Portfolio Managers in their decision-making processes.
  • Present research findings and stock updates to Portfolio Managers, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
  • Prepare earnings reviews, previews, attend conference calls, and management meetings to stay informed about market trends and company performance.
  • Collect and analyze news, create databases, and handle ad hoc research requests to ensure timely and accurate information dissemination.

Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders through regular communication and updates.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate exceptional financial modeling and research report-writing/presentation making skills.
  • Exhibit the ability to think critically and identify key drivers and KPIs across various sectors.
  • Possess excellent client relationship management skills and communication abilities.
  • Show attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple workflows with tight deadlines.
  • Utilize numerical skills to build complex, error-free models with well-defined revenue/cost driver assumptions.
  • Perform earnings sensitivity analysis and provide valuation views after conducting relative, DCF-based, or industry-specific valuations.
  • Write clearly and logically, requiring minimal rework.
  • Produce bulletins and one-page summaries that effectively link macro/industry analysis to output.
  • Build compelling presentations that convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Collect news, summarize, and provide analysis that adds value, as well as prepare charts, tables, and databases.
  • Familiarity with technologies such as Python, SQL, Power BI, etc., is advantageous.
