Job Title: Lead Data Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned Lead Data Architect to spearhead the design and implementation of large-scale data systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with a focus on cloud-based services and Python programming.

Key qualifications include experience with AWS services such as S3, Redshift, and Glue, as well as expertise in developing and maintaining ETL processes using Python and Apache Spark.

The successful candidate will also possess excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and design data solutions.

In addition, they will have strong mentoring and guidance skills, with the ability to support the technical growth and development of junior engineers.

To be considered for this role, applicants should have at least 7 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in a lead or delivery leader capacity.

A strong working knowledge of AWS services, Python, Pyspark, and data modeling is essential, along with experience with columnar and NoSQL databases, predictive analytics, data visualization, and unstructured data.

Familiarity with ETL, data mining, data warehousing, and segmentation techniques is also required, as well as experience with databases, data lakes, processing tools, and BI and reporting tools.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Data System Design and Implementation: Design and implement large-scale data systems using AWS services.
  • ETL Process Development: Develop and maintain ETL processes using Python and Apache Spark.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and design data solutions.
  • Mentorship and Guidance: Mentor and guide junior engineers in their technical growth and development.

Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 7 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a lead or delivery leader capacity.
