Role Overview

We are seeking a talented and creative Designer to join our team. As an Assistant Design Lead, you will be responsible for driving the design process and ensuring that all designs meet our high standards.

  1. Design Leadership
  2. Maintain and build design team workflows that ensure that all designs in the portfolio are delivered in line with style guides, industry standards, and quality expectations
  3. Maintain and track the departmental fashion calendar for the season
  4. Research and forecast evolving fashion trends and bring those insights into the design of the portfolio
  5. Monitor the competition and be aware of market changes and development
  6. Perform daily organizational and maintenance tasks like styling the range, embroidery development, and getting the sample made as directed
  7. Organize all styling materials and resources for sampling
  8. Concept Development
  9. Concept, create and deliver strong design solutions and present ideas participate in key brainstorms/meetings and effectively communicate ideas through presentations
  10. Partner with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

  • Diploma / Degree in Design ( NIFT/NID/Pearl Academy etc)
  • Knowledge of Photoshop/Excel/Corel Draw
  • Minimum 4 years of experience
  • Understanding of ethnic wear design sensibilities–Fabric and Styling
  • Proven track record of designing an eye-catching Apparel portfolio with a design team
