Database Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of our MySQL databases, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain high-performing database systems using MySQL 5, 7, and 8
  • Tune database performance, optimize queries, and index databases for optimal speed and efficiency
  • Administer database backups, recoveries, and replication using Percona Xtrabackup, MySQL Enterprise Backup, and mysqldump
  • Maintain high-availability and disaster recovery configurations using Galera Cluster, MySQL Group Replication, and ProxySQL
  • Ensure robust database security through user privilege management, TDE, data masking, GDPR, and HIPAA compliance
Requirements:
  • Strong experience in database administration with a focus on MySQL 5, 7, and 8
  • Expertise in database monitoring and logging tools such as Percona Monitoring and Management and Prometheus
  • Deep understanding of MySQL storage engines, licensing models, and cost optimization strategies
  • Experience with cloud database services such as AWS RDS, Aurora, Azure Database, and Google Cloud SQL
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
