Software Development Position

We are seeking a talented and motivated software development professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing new features, maintaining and enhancing existing features, testing and deploying code, creating back-end components, integrating user-facing elements, designing user interactions on web pages, ensuring cross-platform optimization for mobile devices, and ensuring performance of applications.

The ideal candidate is passionate about building products that have sophisticated features but are simple to use and visually appealing. You should thrive on being involved in all aspects of the product - front end, back end, cloud management, support. A self-starter who can figure out things they don't know or understand, you should enjoy working with other engineers, discussing solutions to problems, and supporting others in their goals. Virtual communication tools such as web conferencing and chat are your comfort zone.

Requirements include 3 to 5 years of experience in web-based software development, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, good verbal and written communication skills in English, experience working with Ruby on Rails and ability to write clean Ruby code, proficiency with code versioning tools like Bitbucket, Git, Github, familiarity with MVC, REST, good understanding of front-end technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS3 and Bootstrap framework, familiarity with database technology and SQL programming (we use MySQL), experience working with Agile methodologies and tools (we use Jira, Scrum), and proficiency with Linux distributions like Ubuntu.

It would be a plus if you also have experience with frameworks like AngularJS, Angular, React, experience with web servers like Apache, Nginx, experience with cloud infrastructure (we use AWS), experience in developing and maintaining APIs.
