Mobile Automation Tester

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Automation Tester to join our team. As a Mobile Automation Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Automated Test Development: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Appium for both Android and iOS platforms.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to understand requirements and create test strategies.
  • Test Execution: Execute automated and manual test cases during the development lifecycle.
  • Issue Identification and Reporting: Analyze test results, identify issues, and report bugs with clear documentation.
  • Test Environment Maintenance: Maintain test environments, data, and CI/CD pipeline integration.
  • Code Reviews and Collaboration: Participate in code reviews, daily stand-ups, and sprint planning sessions.
  • Defect Management: Track and manage defects using tools like JIRA, TestRail, or equivalent.
  • Automation Framework Improvement: Contribute to improving QA automation frameworks and testing processes.
  • Mobile App Quality Assurance: Ensure mobile app quality across different OS versions, screen sizes, and devices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: 2–4 years of hands-on experience in mobile automation testing using Appium.
  • Testing Tools and Frameworks: Strong understanding of mobile testing tools, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Scripting Languages: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Testing Frameworks: Experience with TestNG, JUnit, or other testing frameworks.
  • Version Control and CI/CD Tools: Familiarity with Git, CI/CD tools (like Jenkins, GitHub Actions), and emulators/simulators.
  • API Testing: Good understanding of REST APIs, and ability to test mobile app integrations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Native App Testing: Experience in native app testing for both Android and iOS.
  • BDD Frameworks: Knowledge of BDD frameworks like Cucumber.
  • Performance Testing Tools: Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., Firebase Test Lab, JMeter).
  • Deployment and Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with App Store / Play Store deployment and crash monitoring tools (e.g., Crashlytics, Firebase).
