COST & TIME ESTIMATION ENGINEER - MOLDS, DIES & FIXTURES

The role of Cost and Time Estimation Engineer in the field of molds, dies, and fixtures involves a comprehensive understanding of tooling materials, machining processes, and finishing techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and development of cost estimation models for molds, dies, and fixtures.
  • Analytical evaluation of tooling costs, including material selection and processing methods.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of estimates with project requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in tooling design, cost estimation, or manufacturing of molds/dies/fixtures.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and cost estimation tools/software.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in plastic injection molding, die casting, or sheet metal stamping environments.
  • Knowledge of international tooling cost structures (local vs. global sourcing).
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and DFM/A principles.
