Global Energy Transition Leadership Role

WRI is seeking a strategic leader to drive its Global Energy Supply initiative. As a key member of the WRI Polsky Center for the Global Energy Transition, you will play a pivotal role in accelerating the transition to clean energy globally.

Job Description
As a seasoned professional with 10+ years of experience in energy issues and international development project management, you will be responsible for leading a diverse team distributed across multiple countries. Your expertise in building and maintaining key funder relationships and leading fundraising efforts will be instrumental in securing funding for cross-cutting activities under the Clean Energy Supply Pillar.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy and delivery of the Clean Energy Supply Pillar, aligning with WRI's country strategies and global programs.
- Build and maintain partnerships with governments, utilities, companies, financial institutions, and civil society organizations to advance the energy transition.
- Develop and steward the supply pillar fundraising strategy, pipeline, and intelligence sharing around opportunities for funding and partnership.

Requirements
- Masters degree in a related field (e.g., energy, policy, international development, climate-related subjects).
- Deep understanding of the energy sector, especially the electric utility sector.
- Proven track record of managing and building multi-cultural teams and empowering team members to achieve results.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to thrive while managing multiple tasks and responsibilities.
