Job Title:

Financial Operations Manager

 

Role and Responsibilities:

 

  • Accounting & Reporting:
    • Lead end-to-end accounting processes, encompassing P2P, R2R, O2C for respective business units (BU)
    • Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly financial close
    • Guarantee compliance with GAAP (Ind-AS) and enforce company accounting policies, practices, and internal controls to ensure consistency in accounting
    • Deliver accurate books of accounts - P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow
    • E nsure financial accounts are properly supported and reconciled
    • Conduct comprehensive financial close review with finance leadership, including month-end review, finalization of P&L accounts, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements
    • Collaborate with internal teams to identify aging and implement suitable actions
    • Oversee interim audits, due diligence, statutory audit, GST audits, etc.
    • Prepare the organization for statutory & tax audits, financial due diligence
  • Financial Planning & Analysis:
    • Provide end-to-end finance operational support to specific BU
    • Develop and manage financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and profitability for the specific BU
    • Offer timely, accurate, and insightful analysis of results
    • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities to drive strategic decision-making
    • Serve as a single point of truth for numbers – Key financial metrics and performance drivers
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, product, and operations, to ensure alignment on financial goals and initiatives
    • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, including investors, partners, and vendors
  • Other Activities/Initiatives:
    • Familiarity with nodal account, payment gateway reconciliations, e-commerce transactions, etc. (desirable)

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

 

  • Desirable: start-up experience and scaling up a start-up through series-A, series-B funding efforts
  • Self-driven, results-oriented individual with a positive outlook and impeccable integrity
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, accounting, and reporting software
  • Candidate who is well-versed in dealing with auditors, consultants is preferable
  • Advanced expertise in MS Office including PowerPoint, Excel (pivots, lookup, conditional functions, Power BI, etc.)
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • High-energy individual with a sense of urgency, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical, reasoning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
