Visual Designer Needed

TaxBuddy is revolutionizing the way Indians file taxes. As a social-first designer, you will play a crucial role in turning complex money topics into visually appealing content.

To achieve this goal, we need someone who can create engaging and interactive designs for our social media platforms. If you have a passion for design and are skilled at creating graphics that capture attention, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:
  1. Create Instagram carousels, reels covers, short video graphics, YouTube thumbnails, story templates, creatives, and WhatsApp broadcast art that captivate our audience.
  2. Maintain and evolve our social brand guidelines, typography, color, iconography, and illustration style to ensure consistency across all platforms.
  3. Translate content briefs into clear visual narratives, data visuals, and memes that are easy to grasp and fun to share.
  4. Create lightweight motion graphics (titles, lower-thirds, transitions) and edit simple reels when needed.
  5. Iterate based on performance metrics (shares, saves, CTR, watch time) with rapid A/B tests (e.g., two thumbnail variants).
  6. Turn around quick news-reactive posts without sacrificing clarity or brand tone.
  7. Work closely with content, copy, and performance teams to align on campaign objectives and timelines.
Requirements:
  1. 2-5 years of hands-on social design experience for consumer brands or media (finance/fintech is a plus).
  2. A strong portfolio of Instagram-first work (carousels, thumbnails, short-form graphics, data illustrations).
  3. Proficiency in Figma and Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator); basic After Effects/Premiere for motion.
  4. Comfort with data visualization (turning numbers into clean, digestible graphics).
  5. Solid typography & layout fundamentals, with sharp attention to detail and consistency.
  6. Ability to work in fast sprints, manage multiple briefs, and deliver on deadlines.
  7. Fluency in English; working knowledge of Hinglish tone for culturally relevant posts.
