We are seeking a skilled iOS Software Engineer to join our team at Jobs Capital. As an iOS Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, delivering, and maintaining mobile applications for iOS devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Development and Delivery: Develop high-quality iOS applications that meet the required specifications and are ready for release.
  2. Maintenance and Improvement: Continuously improve code quality and maintainability by staying up-to-date with new technologies and development approaches.
  3. Platform Compatibility: Ensure the mobile platform is safe, secure, and compatible with the latest devices and iOS versions.
  4. Support and Solution Development: Provide support for the development of mobile projects and devise solutions that are maintainable and scalable.
  5. Issue Resolution: Identify, diagnose, and resolve production issues.
  6. Process and Tool Improvement: Identify opportunities for process and tool improvements, and perform the implementation.
  7. Client Communication: Communicate with the client about technical issues and capabilities/limitations of iOS.

Requirements:

  • Programming Skills: Highly proficient with Swift and Objective-C.
  • iOS Framework Expertise: Expertise in iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Location, etc.
  • Offline Storage and Performance Tuning: Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
  • API Connectivity: Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services.
  • Object-Oriented Principles: Strong understanding of Object-Oriented principles and design patterns.
  • Accessibility and Design Principles: Knowledge of accessibility issues on iOS and deep understanding of Apple's design principles and interface guidelines.
  • App Release and Distribution: Experience in releasing apps via the store and other distribution methods.
  • Common iOS Frameworks: Knowledge of common iOS frameworks (Foundation, Core Location, UIKit, MapKit, CoreData, CoreGraphics, CoreAnimation, Security Framework, Keychain).
  • Benchmarking and Optimization: Competency with performance and memory tuning with tools such as Instruments.
  • Cloud Message APIs and Push Notifications: Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
  • Agile Development: Understanding and experience of Agile development.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Additional Skills: Knowledge of Flutter will be an advantage.
