Senior ADAS Engineer Job Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior ADAS Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining system specification documents for ADAS and other vehicle-related safety features.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To develop and maintain system specifications, technical requirements, and design documents for ADAS and related safety features.
  • To diagnose Electronic Control Units (ECUs), validate error codes, and track software on a vehicle level.
  • To create test cases, validate CAN messages during software development based on vehicle network/architecture.
  • To execute tasks within timelines and achieve development milestones during Vehicle development.
  • To define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the ADAS system performance according to customer/Legislation requirements.
  • To review data evaluation reports and define Software change requirements.
  • To perform functional/component level Calibration of ADAS components.
  • To create technical documentation, including releasing design (Components / ECU / Dataset) in system along with certification of the system/homologation team.

Requirements:

Qualification:

  • Bachelor of Engineering/Technology in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics.
  • Minimum 10 years of working experience in related field of application in OEMs.
  • Knowledge in ECU Testing/Diagnostics tools like ETAS INCA/MARC/Monaco.
  • Knowledge in CAN Tools like CANoe/CANalyzer/CANape & CANdela studio.
  • Familiarity with In-vehicle networking CAN (ISO 11898)/K Line (ISO 9141)/SAE J1939, UDS, and OBD CAN Protocols.
  • Understanding of automotive electronic control systems – Functional Safety, Design aspects, application & integration on vehicle level.
  • Familiarity with Design failure mode analysis and design verifications for the ADAS system and components.
