Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

At Zenfinet Solutions Private Limited, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust and scalable data pipelines using AWS services like S3, Glue, EMR, and Redshift.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources (e.g, databases, APIs, files) into the data warehouse.
  • Optimize data pipelines for performance and efficiency to ensure timely data delivery.
  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of AWS services relevant to data engineering, including S3, EC2, RDS, Redshift, Glue, EMR, and Lambda.
  • Architect and implement data solutions on the AWS cloud platform, leveraging best practices and security standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve AWS-related issues.
  • Write efficient and maintainable Python code for data processing, analysis, and automation tasks.
  • Utilize SQL to query and manipulate data within relational databases.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries for performance and scalability.
  • Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Define and enforce data governance policies and standards.
  • Collaborate with data analysts and scientists to understand data requirements and ensure data quality meets their needs.
  • Design and implement data warehouses and lakehouses to store and manage large datasets.
  • Optimize data warehouse performance and query performance.
  • Implement data partitioning, indexing, and compression strategies.
  • Develop data models that effectively capture and represent business requirements.
  • Create dimensional and normalized data models as needed.
  • Work closely with data analysts, scientists, and business stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide solutions.
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure seamless data integration and delivery.
  • Mentor junior team members and share knowledge.
Requirements:
  • 8-10 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in AWS services, including S3, EC2, RDS, Redshift, Glue, EMR, and Lambda.
  • In-depth knowledge of Python and SQL for data processing and analysis.
  • Experience with data warehousing and lakehouse concepts.
  • Understanding of data modeling and data quality best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Apache Spark and PySpark for big data processing.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with cloud-native technologies and containerization (e.g, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with data governance and compliance frameworks (e.g, GDPR, CCPA).
