Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our team and take on the role of consolidating financial statements as per IFRS. The successful candidate will work closely with our European private equity client, supporting the CFO's office in areas of corporate accounting and statutory reporting.

The ideal candidate will have around three to five years of post-qualification experience in consolidation of financial statements and handled related reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project areas in the engagement (both regular and ad-hoc ones).
  • Manage activity dashboards for various group activities and ensure allocation among team members.
  • Monitor requests from different communication channels and allocate ad-hoc activities among team members.
  • Coordinate with teams to collate information on a timely basis and communicate status with client teams.
  • Review reconciliation results, reports, and ad-hoc requests prepared by the team.
  • Generate analysis/reports based on client/team requests.
  • Improve current reports and proactively work with team counterparts to add value.

Requirements

  • Domain Skills:
    • Ability to understand group structure and review relevant consolidation adjustment entries.
    • Ability to analyze variances between actual and budgeted operating expenses.
    • Ability to review results of transaction reconciliations in Intercompany, control accounts, Bank, and others.
  • Technical/Behavioral Skills:
    • Good working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint; VBA programming knowledge is an added advantage.
    • Good working knowledge of Power BI.
    • Exposure to business software applications such as SAP, business dynamics, and others.
    • Good written/verbal communication skills, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

    • Ability to work as an individual and within a team.
    • Ability to work effectively to meet client stakeholder expectations on a consistent basis.
    • Taking ownership of tasks and working with clear focus to meet timelines based on SLA requirements.
