Academic Career Opportunity

We are seeking a distinguished academic professional to join our faculty in the School of Computer Science.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Teaching undergraduate and graduate-level courses in computer science, including introductory programming, data structures, algorithms, and software engineering.
  • Developing and maintaining course materials, such as syllabi, assignments, and assessments.
  • Providing academic support and guidance to students, including mentoring and advising.
  • Evaluating student performance fairly and providing constructive feedback.
  • Staying current with developments in the field and incorporating them into teaching.

Research Expectations:

  • Conducting original research in their area of expertise and publishing scholarly articles, books, and/or other creative works.
  • Securing external funding to support research projects.
  • Collaborating with colleagues within and outside the department to advance research activities.
  • Mentoring and advising graduate students on research projects.

Service Obligations:

  • Participating in service activities within the department, school, and university.
  • Participating in departmental and university committees.
  • Engaging in professional development activities and staying current in their field of expertise.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with community partners to promote the university and department.

Qualifications:

  • PhD degree in the relevant field or pursuing PhD.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach effectively at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • A record of scholarly research and publication in the relevant field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues within and outside the department.

The successful candidate must meet the requirements outlined by the UGC.
