Job Title: Design Engineer Outfitting Piping

As a Design Engineer Outfitting Piping, you will be responsible for working closely with the design team and clients to deliver high-quality piping design solutions for marine and offshore projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed 3D models and related drawings using Ship Design software like Cadmatic or Ship Constructor.
  • Understand and interpret detailed production design for piping-related outfitting, including 3D models.
  • Study and apply international piping standards, piping components, and materials for new building and retrofit projects.
  • Contribute to the creation of outfitting and related details for all areas of ships.
  • Review vendors' documents, drawings, datasheets, specifications, and calculations.
  • Prepare bills of materials and weight calculations.
  • Understand and apply piping support fabrication, drawing, piping isometric sketches, and layout drawings.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with a Postgraduate degree in Piping from recognized institutes.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of work experience in detail and basic design projects in Ship Outfitting (Piping) design or with shipyard experience.
  • Technical knowledge of preparation of isometrics, arrangement, 3D models for basic and production stages for marine/offshore platforms.
  • Conversant with Engineering Standards such as API, DIN, ASME, BS/EN.
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail.
