About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Build Engineer with expertise in DevOps tools and technologies, including JBoss, Docker, Linux, Puppet, GitHub, and Jenkins.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize build and deployment processes for applications, ensuring efficient and smooth rollouts in production environments.
  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot JBoss application servers and maintain Linux server environments for high reliability and performance.
  • Utilize Docker for containerization, enabling consistent development, testing, and deployment environments.
  • Use Puppet for configuration management to streamline deployment processes and maintain consistency across various environments.
  • Leverage GitHub for source control and Jenkins for CI/CD to automate the building, testing, and deployment of applications.
  • Develop scripts and automation processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention in deployment pipelines.
  • Collaborate with development teams to support build and release processes, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely delivery of software updates.

Requirements:

  • Experience in JBoss and Linux: Proven experience in managing and configuring JBoss servers and working with Linux operating systems.
  • Proficiency in Docker: Hands-on experience with Docker for containerization and container management in production.
  • Configuration Management with Puppet: Strong understanding of Puppet for managing infrastructure as code and maintaining consistency across environments.
  • CI/CD with Jenkins and GitHub: Proficiency in Jenkins for continuous integration and continuous deployment, along with experience in using GitHub for version control.
  • Scripting Skills: Ability to write and maintain scripts in languages such as Bash, Python, or Groovy to automate tasks within the deployment pipeline.

Nice to Have:

  • ATG Build & Deployment Experience: Familiarity with ATG build and deployment processes is beneficial, though not mandatory.
  • Advanced Automation Skills: Experience with other automation tools and techniques to further enhance deployment pipelines.
  • Cloud Experience: Knowledge of cloud platforms, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, for managing and deploying applications in a cloud environment.
