Job Summary

The Kidney Transplant Program Manager oversees the development and implementation of kidney transplant services, ensuring compliance with national and international standards. This position requires advanced surgical expertise, strong decision-making, and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and expand the kidney transplant program, including live and deceased donor transplants.
  • Conduct pre-transplant evaluations, manage post-operative care, and adjust immunosuppressive therapies.
  • Supervise dialysis bridging patients and coordinate with nephrology and urology departments.
  • Lead transplant-related research, academic publications, and clinical audits.
Program Development and Oversight
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, monitor transplant outcomes, and implement quality improvement measures.
  • Participate in policy development, SOPs, and infection control practices related to transplant care.
Team Collaboration and Coordination
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nephrologists, urologists, anesthesiologists, and transplant coordinators.
  • Guide the transplant team on patient selection, transplant logistics, and post-transplant follow-up.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Educational Qualification:
  • MBBS with MS (General Surgery) or MCh / DNB (Urology) or equivalent.
  • Fellowship in Kidney/Renal Transplant Surgery from a recognized center (preferred).
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 10 years of post-specialization experience, with at least 5 years in renal transplant surgery.
  • Independent experience in live and cadaveric transplant procedures.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
