The Audit Senior Associate position involves performing procedures in complex areas while developing technical expertise. As the primary contact, you will work closely with engagement teams and develop advanced auditing skills in various industries and clients.

This role requires collaboration with member firms and clients onshore. Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and demonstrating mastery of audit techniques, ensuring adherence to best practices, and achieving client satisfaction.
• Possessing significant knowledge of audit methodologies and techniques in performing external, internal, or statutory audits.
• Taking ownership of delivering high-quality audit work, developing self and others, and executing larger areas of an audit engagement.
• Demonstrating professional skepticism and compliance with risk management policies.
• Establishing relationships across client offerings and seeking opportunities to work together.
• Building credibility through displaying good insight, applying technical competence, and engaging in relevant discussions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing productive relationships with clients and engagement teams.
• Directing fieldwork and informing leaders of audit engagement status.
• Completing audit procedures and documentation for higher-risk areas to broaden technical skills.
• Contributing ideas/opinions to audit teams.
• Developing an understanding of service offerings.
• Preparing draft financial statements under US GAAP, IFRS, UK GAAP (FRS 102).
• Ensuring work papers are complete, consistent, and contain procedures performed, evidence obtained, and conclusions reached.
• Identifying key issues facing clients and discussing possible solutions to increase quality and efficiency.
• Developing a command of GAAP, GAAS, GAGAS, or UK GAAP or IFRS and common audit techniques.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree with a minimum of 1-5 years of related work experience in a similar audit practice firm.
• A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred, or a graduate degree with approximately 1-5 years of related work experience in fields of statutory audits.
• Experience in accounts preparation under FRS 102 and relevant applicable standards is preferred.
• Experience working on Employee Benefit Plans and Pension plans is preferred.
• A qualified U.S. Certified Public Accounting (CPA) license or sufficient coursework to achieve US CPA certification in the US state of primary work location is required.
• Experience in planning, execution, and reporting on audits of financial statements prepared in accordance with US GAAP and US GAAS, IFRS, UK GAAP is required.
• Excellent project management skills are essential.
