We are seeking a dynamic Electrical Systems Specialist to support our weekday clients. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tender submissions while working closely with the sales and engineering teams to secure new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Proposal Development: Review and analyze tender documents, specifications, and requirements to develop comprehensive technical proposals.
  • Tender Bid Preparation: Prepare and submit competitive tender bids, ensuring all deadlines are met and tenders comply with company and client requirements.
  • Proposal Alignment: Collaborate with sales teams to align proposals with customer needs and company offerings.
  • Cost Estimation: Estimate material, labor, and project costs accurately, ensuring profitability and feasibility.
  • Risk Analysis: Conduct technical assessments and risk analysis for tender submissions.
  • Supplier Liaison: Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain necessary quotations and project details.
  • Tender Document Management: Ensure all tender documents, including drawings, specifications, and commercial terms, are in line with client expectations.
  • Client Support: Participate in technical and sales meetings with clients, offering technical support during contract negotiations.
  • Industry Knowledge: Keep up-to-date with industry trends, standards, and technologies related to electrical systems and sales strategies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in tendering, estimating, or proposal preparation within the electrical engineering sector.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, standards, and components.
  • Sales and Negotiation Skills: Excellent sales and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Cost Estimation and Risk Assessment: Experience in cost estimation and risk assessment for tenders.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and tendering software/tools.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail.
Preferred:
  • Experience in Sales or Business Development: Experience in sales or business development roles related to electrical engineering.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with AutoCAD or other engineering design software.
  • Procurement and Supply Chain Knowledge: Understanding of procurement and supply chain processes.
