Mainframe Consultant


Position Overview
  • This role involves providing expert-level mainframe consulting services to clients in the Riyadh, Saudi area.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Database Management and Optimization: Advise clients on optimal DB2 database management practices to improve system efficiency and performance.
  2. System Implementation: Implement CICS, MQ, and ZOS technologies to enhance system capabilities and streamline processes.
  3. Job Scheduling and Execution: Manage Control-M job scheduling and execution to ensure seamless operations.
  4. Security Access Controls: Configure MF Operators / RACF security access controls to maintain a secure environment.
  5. Coding Quality and Efficiency: Review and optimize COBOL code for quality and efficiency.
  6. Linux Solutions Design: Design and implement complex Linux One and PCM + Networking solutions.
  7. Payment Networks Development: Develop Payment Networks using HP Non Stop, MQ, DRNet, Base24/BESS technologies.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in mainframe consulting is required.
  • The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of DB2, CICS, MQ, ZOS, Control-M, and MF Operators / RACF.
  • COBOL Coding Skills: Excellent COBOL coding skills with a focus on code review and quality are essential.
  • Linux Solutions Design: Ability to design and implement complex Linux One and PCM + Networking solutions.
  • Payment Networks Experience: Experience with Payment Networks using HP Non Stop, MQ, DRNet, Base24/BESS technologies is a must.
