Job Title: HVAC Service Technician

The role of the HVAC Service Technician is to provide expert installation, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting services for heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.

This position requires a high level of technical knowledge and expertise in the operation and maintenance of various HVAC systems including air conditioners, chillers, furnaces, air handlers and ventilation units.

Responsibilities include performing routine preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance of HVAC equipment, diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults and recommending effective solutions.

Additionally, this position involves reading and interpreting technical diagrams, blueprints and manufacturer specifications, adjusting system controls to improve performance and ensuring energy efficiency.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate service and repair records, documenting all work performed, and ensuring compliance with safety standards, building codes and environmental regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical components and refrigeration cycles.
  • Ability to use HVAC tools, gauges and diagnostic equipment.
  • Understanding of safety procedures and occupational health regulations.
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
