Job Title: Manager, Software Engineering


We are seeking a skilled manager to oversee our software engineering team.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing multiple scrum teams and working with offshore teams.

They should be proficient in object-oriented languages such as Java and C#.

A strong background in building resilient, stateless, scalable, distributed, and observable systems is required.

Additionally, the candidate should have experience in building REST services with a focus on performance.

Familiarity with microservices and modern cloud services (AWS) is preferred.

Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are essential for this role.

Knowledge of mortgage or financial related industries is a plus.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead/manage a team of developers on new feature development and issue fixing
  • Provide leadership through daily scrum ceremonies and facilitate discussions between teams
  • Ensure high quality code via design reviews, code reviews, and proper unit test coverage
  • Coach and direct staff towards career goals, assign tasks, and monitor performance
  • Report status on project deliverables to upper management and mitigate risks
  • Support process improvements that guide development activities
Requirements:
  • 7+ years direct experience with managing multiple scrum teams and working with offshore teams
  • Expertise in object-oriented languages such as Java and C#
  • History of building resilient, stateless, scalable, distributed, and observable systems
  • Experience in building REST services with high focus on performance
  • Familiarity with microservices and knowledge of modern cloud services (AWS) preferred
  • Strong project management experience with complex projects
  • Excellent communication skills and close attention to detail
  • Experience working in mortgage or other financial related industries is a plus
  • Previous experience working with onshore teams is a plus
