Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced engineer to join our Platform Engineering team. As a pivotal member, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our AWS cloud infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and architectures, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS. They will also possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure, including EC2 instances, S3 buckets, VPCs, RDS databases, and Lambda functions.
  • Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of backup, high-availability, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Develop and monitor automation scripts and tools for provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of cloud resources.
  • Monitor system performance, analyze trends, and implement improvements to ensure optimal resource utilization and cost efficiency.
  • Implement security best practices and compliance standards to safeguard cloud environments.
  • Administer company platforms to enhance user productivity, focusing on tools like Okta and AWS Workspaces.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and support application deployments.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing AWS cloud solutions.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and architectures, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in cloud environments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
