Dynamic Motion Graphics Designer for Sports Broadcasts

We are seeking a highly skilled Motion Graphics Designer with a strong background in sports broadcast design to join our creative team. This role will focus on developing and animating dynamic graphics for horse racing coverage, ensuring a seamless blend of live data, storytelling, and engaging visual presentation.

The successful candidate will have experience designing and animating custom motion graphics, including show opens, transitions, and bumpers, as well as on-screen statistics, odds, and race data visualizations. Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and animate custom motion graphics for horse racing broadcasts
  • Collaborate with producers, editors, and sports analysts to translate racing data and narratives into compelling visuals
  • Develop graphics templates for fast turnaround and live updates during race events
  • Ensure compliance with brand guidelines and network broadcast standards
  • Troubleshoot graphics in live broadcast environments and support technical integration with real-time graphics systems
  • Maintain a library of reusable templates, assets, and branded elements

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in motion graphics design, preferably within sports broadcasting
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro)
  • Experience with real-time broadcast graphics platforms is highly desirable
  • Strong grasp of sports design aesthetics, particularly horse racing data
  • Solid understanding of typography, color theory, pacing, and motion design principles
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines with rapid turnaround
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and time management skills
  • A portfolio or demo reel showcasing high-quality motion graphics work, ideally in live or sports television

Qualifications:

  • Diploma (Bachelor's or Associates) in Motion Design, Broadcast Design, Graphic Design, or a related field
  • Experience working on-site at sports events or in live production environments
  • Interest in or working knowledge of horse racing formats, terminology, and statistics
