About the Role:

As a seasoned Looker expert, you will serve as the go-to professional for driving adoption and best practices across teams. With 5+ years of experience in Google Looker, BI & Analytics Platforms, and LookML Models, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing Looker dashboards to ensure performance, usability, and alignment with business needs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable and maintainable data structures using LookML models.
  • Collaborate with data engineering and business teams to integrate data sources and ensure seamless data flow into Looker.
  • Provide guidance on visualization standards, user experience, and dashboard performance tuning.
  • Support stakeholders in leveraging Looker for self-service analytics and decision-making.
  • Stay current with new Looker features and releases, evaluating their applicability and impact.
  • Participate in Agile delivery cycles, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Align risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk;

Talents Needed for Success:

  • Proven experience with LookML, dashboard development, and performance optimization in Looker
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, semantic layers, and data integration
  • Ability to translate business requirements into effective visualizations and data stories
  • Familiarity with SQL and cloud data platforms (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake)
  • Experience driving BI adoption, training users, and promoting data literacy
  • Knowledge of version control tools (e.g., Git) and Agile delivery practices
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams
  • Proactive in staying ahead of BI trends and evolving analytics capabilities
