Maths Teacher Job Description

  • Carefully correcting test papers and providing detailed feedback to students.
  • Moderating classroom discussions on various topics, ensuring all students are engaged and involved.
  • Attending parent-teacher conferences to address student concerns and progress.
  • Supplying students with necessary learning materials and resources.
  • Offering additional support to slow learners, adapting teaching methods to meet their needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field in Education.
  • Proven experience as a maths teacher or similar role, demonstrating expertise in classroom management and teaching.
  • Training or apprenticeship in Mathematics is an asset, enhancing teaching skills and knowledge.
  • Excellent classroom teaching and management experience, showcasing effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of mathematical formulas, concepts, and teaching aids, facilitating engaging lessons.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to cater to slow learners, promoting inclusivity and diversity.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, conveying complex ideas simply and effectively.
