  • Senior Firmware Engineer
About the Role:

This position involves leading the development of embedded software for a smart camera system. As a Senior Firmware Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire software stack, including board bring-up and BSP development for custom hardware.

Main Responsibilities:

The following are key responsibilities associated with this role:

  1. Own the full embedded software stack for the smart camera system.
  2. Lead the board bring-up and BSP development for custom hardware.
  3. Develop and integrate Linux kernel drivers for camera, wireless, and sensors.
  4. Integrate and debug Wi-Fi, Zigbee, LoRa wireless communication protocols.
  5. Lead development of camera subsystem drivers (MIPI CSI-2, ISP tuning, V4L2).
  6. Implement low-power operation, sleep modes, and battery monitoring features.
  7. Coordinate with the hardware team for hardware-software co-design and power optimization.
  8. Develop interfaces for Edge AI inference pipelines (TensorFlow Lite or similar).
  9. Debug complex system issues using JTAG, logic analyzers, and embedded logging.
Requirements:
  • Strong proficiency in Embedded C/C++ and Embedded Linux (Yocto, Buildroot).
  • Experience with Linux kernel development and device driver programming.
  • Deep understanding of Wi-Fi driver stacks and wireless MAC layers.
  • Experience integrating and tuning camera modules and MIPI-CSI pipelines.
  • Knowledge of wireless protocols, especially Zigbee and/or LoRa.
  • Experience with battery-powered embedded systems and power management.
  • Experience with BSP development, bootloader customization, and OS bring-up.
  • Hands-on experience with Edge AI models on embedded targets (ARM-based or DSPs).
  • Familiarity with schematic review and basic hardware debugging tools (oscilloscope, multimeter).
  • Worked on at least one full-cycle embedded product (from prototype to field deployment).
