Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new web applications/APIs using Ruby on Rails
  • Maintain and troubleshoot web applications and APIs
  • Write and maintain reliable Ruby/Rails code
  • Integrate with data storage solutions like databases or file/object storage
  • Create services using microservices architecture
  • Containerize applications using Docker
  • Identify and fix bottlenecks and bugs
  • Integrate user-facing elements designed by the front-end team
  • Connect applications with other internal or third-party systems

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: Over 7 years of hands-on experience in Ruby on Rails development
  • Expertise: Proficiency in either Sidekiq or Shoryuken for background job processing
  • Frontend Knowledge: Solid knowledge in React and Typescript
  • Cloud Computing: Familiarity with AWS and SQS (Simple Queue Service)
  • Willingness to work in EST hours
