We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to lead our Renewable Operations Centre (ROC) team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the 24x7 monitoring of power projects, scheduling in open access markets, collaborating with O&M teams, contractors and F&S service providers, maintaining up-to-date project data, engaging in energy trading activities and management reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the ROC Team: Manage a team of 3-4 engineers, draft and execute 24x7 shift plans, including week offs and leaves.
- Project Monitoring and Analytics: Monitor real-time performance of power plants using monitoring software such as Bazefield and Powertrack. Analyze plant performance data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Monitoring Software and Work Order Management: Ensure smooth data flow to monitoring software via plant SCADA. Coordinate with site O&M teams to resolve data issues.
- Energy Trading and DSM Management: Conduct day-to-day trading on exchange platforms and maintain bidding models in congruence with commercial teams. Analyze historical data and market trends to support improving forecasting accuracy.
- Collaboration and Reporting: Collaborate with internal and external teams to optimize power generation schedules. Provide analytical support for energy trading activities, including market analysis. Collect and analyze data related to asset performance, energy production, trading, DSM penalties, and maintenance activities. Generate management reports and provide recommendations for improvement.
