Data Quality Specialist

• You will be responsible for supporting various data domains.
• Making proactive suggestions regarding product usability, presentation, and data quality is a must.
• Continual learning through formal and self-guided channels will help you gain a deeper understanding of data management and the industry.
• Ensuring data integrity and running day-to-day activities to produce, validate, and deliver quality data to consuming functions and systems is key.
• You will identify, escalate, and resolve data issues proactively.
• Performing initial triage/research for data issues and escalating/routing as necessary is crucial.
• Working with senior associates on projects that improve and develop subject matter expertise is essential.
• Providing insights regarding themes around issues and errors and proposing solutions is a vital part of this role.
• Collaborating closely with data product owners, providing data analysis support for various development and research efforts is important.
• Analyzing data to answer key questions for stakeholders, with an eye on what drives business performance, and investigating and communicating which areas need improvement in efficiency and productivity is a critical task.
• Defining, standardizing, measuring, and monitoring data quality metrics is a key responsibility.
• Developing reports/dashboards that enable data quality health checks by senior leaders is an important aspect of this role.
• Reporting start of day data quality checks and tracking issue resolution is essential.
• Identifying CDEs and maintaining the data dictionary, aligning consumers to a standardized set of fields and definitions is a key task.
• This role requires:
• A minimum of 3-5 years' relevant experience.
• A BA/BS in a relevant field.
• Natural curiosity, with a strong desire to learn, ask questions, and share ideas.
• Effectively managing multiple responsibilities, demonstrating initiative, and meeting deadlines is crucial.
• Solid understanding of desktop tools and ability to leverage for analytic and communication purposes is required.
• Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and exercising independent judgment consistent with departmental goals.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Advance level SQL and Excel skills are required.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy are necessary.
• Knowledge of data, analysis, and processes related to various asset classes and products is desired.
• Technical and business background with experience in investments data; specifically, asset management and/or financial services industry data is a plus.
