Enterprise Infrastructure Specialist: Active Directory Expert

Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Active Directory Engineer to join our infrastructure team as a full-time member. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the migration of our enterprise environment to Entra ID (Azure AD) and PaaS-based DNS solutions.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and document existing AD and DNS environments, ensuring seamless transition to new infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement domain controller migrations and replication setup across multiple AD forests.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support integration and migration to Entra ID (Azure AD).
  • Support the transition of DNS from Windows to a PaaS-based solution, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
  • Configure and manage DHCP scopes, conditional forwarders, and stub zones, promoting efficient network operations.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues related to LDAP, Kerberos, and NTLM-based authentication, minimizing downtime.
  • Design and maintain PowerShell scripts for provisioning and automation, enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Implement infrastructure-as-code via Terraform within existing CI/CD pipelines, promoting consistency and scalability.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5 - 10 years of hands-on experience with Active Directory, specifically in multi-domain or multi-forest environments.
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Active Directory.
  • Entra ID (Azure AD).
  • PKI and NPS.
  • DNS & DHCP (Windows Server and/or PaaS alternatives).
  • LDAP, Kerberos, and NTLM protocols.
  • Identity protocols: OIDC, OAuth2, SAML.
  • Experience with AD Trusts, Group Policy, OUs, and FSMO roles.
  • Excellent PowerShell scripting skills.

Bonus Skills (Desirable):

  • Experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code concepts.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps preferred).
  • Experience with hybrid identity platforms (e.g., Azure AD Connect, ADFS).
