">About this role:The Database Support Engineer is responsible for managing database infrastructures, monitoring database health and performance, creating and managing database permissions, performing regular maintenance tasks and handling database issues. Key responsibilities include
• On-premises and cloud database support
• Monitoring database health and performance
• Database creation and permission management
• Managing SQL Server database maintenance tasks like DBCC check db, rebuild indexes and update stats
• Installing SQL Server versions 2016/2017/2019/2022
• Performing SQL Server hardening according to best practices
• Implementing alert configurations to get notifications for any issues
• Configuring and managing SSRS, SSIS and SSAS
Key Skills and Qualifications:
This role requires a combination of technical and soft skills. The ideal candidate should possess:
- At least 4 years of experience in handling databases
- Experience with installing and configuring SQL Server versions 2016/2017/2019/2022
- Knowledge of SQL Server High Availability (HA) setups like SQL Cluster and AlwaysOn
- Experience with disaster recovery for SQL Server databases via log shipping
- Skills in migrating and upgrading SQL Server databases
- Ability to manage SQL Server security
- Understanding of database mirroring and replication
- Performance tuning skills
